Join us for the 8th Joint Meeting of the Seafood Science & Technology Society of the Americas (SST) and the Atlantic Fisheries Technology Conference (AFT), in association with the 1st North Carolina Marine Biotechnology Symposium, to be held in Wrightsville Beach, North Carolina from October 19 – 22, 2008.
The theme for this year’s joint meeting is “Food, Energy and Health: Maximizing Value from Sustainable Ocean Resources.”
The conference will feature five primary sessions:
International Trade and Sustainable Fisheries;
Developments in Aquaculture;
New Technologies and Tools for Enhancing Seafood Quality and Safety;
Health and Product Convenience;
Emerging Regulatory Issues.
The Marine Biotechnology Symposium will focus on:
Natural Products with Pharmaceutical Potential;
Converting Seafood Discards into Value-Added Products;
Energy Sources from the Sea;
Industrial Applications of Science.
